These are some ongoing works- two memoirs and a novel. See each brief description below and then click the button to review some sample pages.

BUT FIRST- ABOUT THE IMAGES: Except where otherwise mentioned, the majority of images on the site are unedited screen-grabs under licence to Tim Leighton with thanks to the British Film Institute (BFI). https://www.bfi.org.uk/ I have taken them from the iconic British Transport Films series (BTF). Why these? Because I became mesmerized by the instant impressionism, even surrealism – that these films and images bring us- not just of life in Britain from the 50s to the 80s, but of life in general (at least in my world). Novel in progress: A pursuit across the ages. They cross paths. Recognition dawns. Memories return. They reach for weapons or for new, worse tricks. One dies. It begins again. But something – not of men – is brewing, beginning to overshadow them….

Learning To Dance

Memoir in progress: The 70s and 80s. Forget British schools. This is where my education began. I went onto the oceans in ships and discovered worlds – out there and inside me. New darkness. New light. A Cult. The New Age. And ultimately America- where I found home, never expecting to leave….
